On Sept. 10, both the Music and Sound Lab crews opened the doors of Kittridge Theater at Warren Wilson College (WWC) to all students. The Music Crew hosted an open house to celebrate the re-opening of Kittridge Theater and Music Center, which had been under construction since the summer of 2025. The two crews organized a building-wide scavenger hunt to help students get to know the theater and its layout. With the re-opening of Kittridge, music students who had been temporarily housed on the third-floor of Jensen can return to the Music Center.

“It is really exciting just to be back in our home space,” Natalya Weinstein Miller, the Music Crew supervisor, said. “To have a central meeting location and be able to have concerts in our recital hall again is really special.”

Kittridge is now open for classes, events and theater productions. The Sound Lab Crew has also returned to its old space in the building – Studio B, a place for creating and editing student-made music.

“It’s more space to be making more music,” Sound Lab Crew member Maddie Gamache said. “It’s really exciting to have Studio B back in Kitt, and I think more students will be able to utilize it.”

People across campus share this excitement, as the re-opening of the Kittridge Theater means the return of several events that can bring together the community. With the space repaired the community can look forward to having concerts and live theater back on campus!
