Torren Mazur, a first-year student, has been bringing his black and white cat, Toodles, since he and his roommate first adopted him last fall semester from a rescue center. Mazur describes Toodles as a playful but ditzy cat, fitting his name. His middle name is Lou, making his full name reminiscent of the humorous British expression “Toodle-oo”. Mazur claims that Toodles understands English whenever spoken to and is always up for a conversation. Toodles is a big fan of watching the outdoors from the window, but is not much of a fan of being outside. He is also the dorm's bug repellent; a vicious hunter. Toodles’s favorite snacks are the chicken-flavored Temptations treats, and his favorite toys are hair ties, whether it's chasing them around or just batting at them. Toodles is an unofficial emotional support pet, providing Mazur and his roommate with comfort and entertainment as they carry on with their studies, and hopefully, a great birthday party as Toodles is turning two this month on the 20th. So go and wish him a happy birthday on his Instagram page @toodles.lou420.
